SAFE SPORT

Maverick Swim Club is committed to becoming a USA Swimming Safe Sport Recognized Club. Safe Sport recognition complements our club philosophy of Children First, Swimmers Second by demonstrating our commitment to creating a safe, healthy, and positive environment for all members. To achieve this recognition, Maverick has undertaken the following:

  • Policies, procedures, and best practices: Maverick has shared our Athlete Protection Policies and other best practices used to safeguard members. This information is found on the website, in the club handbook, and is communicated via Club emails.
  • Personnel: Maverick has demonstrated to USA Swimming that our screening and selection procedures for coaching staff meet Safe Sport best practice guidelines.
  • Training and Education: Maverick will continue to share in-person Safe Sport training information during member meetings, via email, and through coach communication.
  • Reporting: Maverick has provided information for members to communicate and report to USA Swimming Safe Sport and the Center for SafeSport.
